News and Upcoming Events
The Kershaw County Probate Court will host a FREE Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) November 19th and 20th from 8:30 AM until 4:00 PM at The Kershaw County Economic Development Training Room (90 Campus Drive, Camden). During the two-day ASIST workshop, participants will learn to recognize when someone may be at risk for suicide and work with them to develop a plan focused on their immediate safety.
Kershaw County Probate Judge Debbie Branham stated there is a critical need to bring ASIST to our community and urges churches, schools, government entities, and businesses to take the opportunity to send a representative to the training. “You may be able to prevent someone you know from completing suicide.”
The session will be taught by registered trainers from the South Carolina Department of Mental Health. The event is free and open to anyone over the age of 16.
Space is limited. To inquire or register, all 803-425-1503 or email email@example.com.
