 Summer Playground Program

Boys and girls ages 5-11 are invited to participate in our summer playground program. The program includes games, crafts, outside activities, virtual trips and more. Free lunches are provided through United Way Summer Food Program each site. Registration will be begin on April 28, 2025 to guarantee participation in the program (until maximum numbers are reached at each site- noted below.) On site registration WILL NOT BE accepted for any remaining spots @ each program site . You will have to go to the Recreation Department Main Office to register for any remaining spots.    Birth certificates may be required for proof of age. Supervisors will be on duty on these dates and sites in the county.  $40 per camper for the whole summer.

June 2- 26, Monday through Thursday -  9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

“Beyond the Court” Basketball Camp

This Basketball Camp is offered for boys and girls ages 6 - 17.  The camp will teach the fundamentals of basketball and the aspects of life “Beyond the Court”.  Emphasis will be placed on physical skills and techniques, proper training and conditioning, team sport, positive mental attitudes, healthy lifestyles and good sportsmanship as well as many other aspects.  The camp is instructed by Camden High Varsity Boys Head Coach, Sterling Council along with other standout basketball players.  Space will be limited so make sure you sign up early!

         DATES/HOURS: June 16 - 18, 2025 / Monday through Wednesday / 8:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. 

         LOCATION:  Camden High School Gym, 1022 Ehrenclou Drive, Camden

         AGES:     6 - 17 years old

         COST:     $70 per camper (includes: breakfast, lunch, and  t-shirt)

           


 Golf Camp

Learn the fundamentals of golf or improve your skills in this camp. Matt McCarley, PGA professional.  Beginners through advance golfers are welcome.

DATES: June 16- 19 and July 14 - 17 - Monday through Thursday
LOCATION: Camden Country Club, Knights Hill Road, Camden
AGES: 7 - 17 years old
HOURS:  8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
COST: $100 per camper

Pre-registration Required by Noon on June 13 or Noon on July 11

Fundamentals & Fun Skills Camp

Kershaw County Girls Basketball Association presents an all-girls basketball skills camp for ages 7-13 at Stover Middle School gym. Your daughter will learn skills from former college basketball players to improve her game and make her a more confident player.  

Each camper will need to bring a basketball, water bottle, and snack each day if they have an allergy. Camp t-shirts are included. Please register in-person at the Kershaw County Recreation Department offices or online at www.Kershawrec.com

Limited to 40  participants.

         DATES/HOURS:  June 9 - 12,   Monday through Thursday / 9:00 A.M. - Noon
                                                OR
                                                July 7 - 11 ,   Monday through Thursday / 9:00 A.M. - Noon                               

         LOCATION:  Stover Middle School gym

         AGES:    7 - 13 years old

         COST:    $50.00 per camper
