Leisure time recreation has become essential to everyday life. The Kershaw County Recreation Department strives to maintain a quality parks and recreation program that benefits the community and satisfies the needs of its participants. The Department is open to new trends and concepts that would enhance program effectiveness. Employed by the Department is a trained staff who can assist you in planning leisure time. If you have a special interest not included in the programs, feel free to bring it to our attention. In every way possible, we will assist any person or group in finding recreational opportunities.
Coronavirus Update – March 17, 2020
Programs, Events, and Activities
All programs, events, and activities (including practices and games) through the Kershaw County Parks & Recreation Department (KCPRD) are suspended until further notice.
If programs start back we will alert the public as soon as the information is available.
Buildings – Effective March 17, 2020
Kershaw County Parks & Recreation Department will close all indoor recreation buildings to the public until further notice.
Although indoor and outdoor recreation center buildings will be closed, Kershaw County Parks & Recreations Department park trails will remain open. Park visitors are encouraged to practice hand hygiene, social distancing, bring their own hand sanitizer and water bottles.
We will continue to monitor the situation and communicate any additional cancellation through our website at www.kershawrec.com, and through our Facebook page.
