The Information Services Department is made up of three different departments. They include Information Technology, GIS (Geographical Information Services) and E-911 Addressing. The Information Technology office provides many different services for our county employees as well as the public.  Below are some of the services that the Information Technology office provide:

  • Application Software Support (implement and support vendor packages)
  •  Client Server systems 
  •  Cellular Phones 
  •  Day-to-day server operations
  •  Email
  •  Help Desk 
  •  Internet access (Stationary and Mobile)
  •  Inventory of technology assets, including disposal of surplus technology assets 
  •  Network Administration - manage closets, routers, switches, controllers, network drops etc. 
  •  PCs - diagnostics, repair, deployment 
  •  Planning - long range technology planning 
  •  Technology consulting and procurement for county offices
  •  Telephone systems / lines 
  •  Security Administration  - Access control and cameras
  •  Web Site - Webmaster for Kershaw County Website 
  •  Write Requests for Proposals, Requests for Qualifications, Requests for Information, Requests for Bids, and Requests for Quotes
