MINIMAL IMPACT STILL EXPECTED FROM HURRICANE DORIAN

Kershaw County, SC –  As of the latest 9:00AM weather report, Kershaw County is still expected to receive minimal impacts from Hurricane Dorian. Beginning late this evening (September 4, 2019) and into Thursday morning (September 5, 2019), Kershaw County anticipates 1 to 1.5 inches of rainfall and wind gusts reaching up to 35 miles per hour.

As always, Kershaw County will continue to monitor the hurricane as weather conditions are fluid and subject to change. We will remain in daily conference calls with The South Carolina Emergency Management Division and maintain regular meetings with our community partners to include The Kershaw County School District, law enforcement, and public safety.

At this time, Kershaw County Government will continue normal operations this week.
