KERSHAW COUNTY OPENS WATEREE RIVER PARCEL ON SATURDAYS

KERSHAW COUNTY, SC– Starting this Saturday, May 4th, The Kershaw County Parks and Recreation Department is excited to open the Wateree River Parcel every Saturday from 8:00AM until 6:00PM to the public.

Kershaw County has worked extremely hard to make sure the parcel is safe to enjoy, but asks patrons to please be cautious when enjoying the property. Please be mindful of wildlife including snakes, changes to river levels, and uneven grounding.

Patrons will have access to the river for input and output of kayaks. Fishing is also permitted, but a SCDNR issued fishing license is required and must be on hand when fishing.  Swimming will not be permitted.
