Buildings

The Building Division provides a wide variety of services in an effort to protect the health, safety, and general welfare of the citizens in Kershaw County through the administration and enforcement of building and zoning laws, codes, and ordinances. Permits are issued for residential and commercial building, manufactured homes, electrical, mechanical, gas, plumbing, roofing, and residential specialties. Other permits include demolition, house moving, signs, home occupation, and use. The division also reviews plans for commercial buildings and inspects new construction within the County in order to assure compliance with state, national, and international codes.
